I went to watch Putnam City vs. Union, expecting a great game.
SNOOZEFEST!!! I can see why Xavier Henry is the #1 player in the nation, but he did nothing tonight. Even worse, OU commit Kyle Hardick was the opposite of impressive (worse than unimpressive). PC ran 0 offense. They would pass the ball a little bit, stand around alot, then someone would drive or shoot a 3. Union couldn't throw the ball in a lake if they were in a boat in the middle. If Jenks wins, I may go back and see if a 2nd impression is any better. Check OKSC TV thread later on, and I'll post what "highlights" I can put together. |

Alright, when PC decides to play ball, they are BY FAR the best team in the state. After being unimpressed last night, I was much impressed tonight.
First half belonged to Bryson Pope (Jenks)... Second half, Xavier Henry decided he would show the fans and his teammates what one of the top recruits in the nation looks like. Just took over. He finish with "only" 24, but he willed his team to victory in this one. I have a highlight I'm posting tonight as soon as it finishes downloading... It's the play that sent the game to another level and started putting it away for PC. |
