LAST YEAR AGAINST OKLAHOMA STATE
The Sooners and Cowboys split the season series last year with both teams winning by double figures at home. In the first meeting, the Sooners jumped out to a 19-2 lead and led by as many as 20 (51-31). Kevin Bookout (23) and Taj Gray (22) combined for 45 points on 21-for-29 field goal shooting. They accounted for OU’s first 19 points. OU shot .537 from the field and registered assists on 21 of their 29 hoops. Ivan McFarlin paced OSU with 16 points while Joey Graham scored 15.
In the rematch, OU outshot (.537 to .526) and outrebounded (30-27) the Cowboys, but was plagued by 5-for-12 (.417) free throw shooting and 15 turnovers. Bookout registered a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds while Gray added 14 and eight. The pair was 13-for-18 from the floor. DIME DROPPER
Although he was not recruited to OU as a point guard, senior Terrell Everett ranks second in the Big 12 with his 6.1 assists per game (he trails only Iowa State’s Will Blalock, who averages 6.4). Everett, a natural wing who played some point last year, is the Big 12’s leading returning assists man from last season when he averaged 5.0. The slender 6-4 lefty has led the Sooners in assists 40 times in his 52 career games, including 16 times in 19 outings this year.

EIGHT STRAIGHT 20-WIN SEASONS
With a 25-8 record last year, Kelvin Sampson has now coached OU to eight consecutive 20-win seasons. Only seven other coaches have posted 20 victories each of the last eight years: Lute Olson (15 straight seasons), Tubby Smith (12), Mike Krzyzewski (9), Skip Prosser (9), Jim Boeheim (8), Jim Calhoun (8) and Eddie Sutton (8).
