OK Pawneesports bail me out again as you always do!
Had a team dinner last night. Coach Jensen and the girls. It was a great time and this should be a great match-up. Coach says that Hinton is quick and a lot of their girls are track athletes like a lot of Coalgate's players. So they should both be quick and athletic which should make for a fun game to watch.

I know they have the famous Red Rock Canyon, an awesome golf course and they have a state caliber high school golf team both girls and boys, track as well.
I had a break from a looooooooong Tribal Council meeting and I will post something tonight...keep checking back.

First state tournament appearance. Sensational defensive-oriented club that was inexplicably ignored most of the season in the state newspaper rankings despite several impressive victories. Returned all five starters from a squad last year that saw a promising season end abruptly with a rash of late-season injuries. Two of three losses this season came to Thomas.
Averages
Offensive - 50.6
Defensive - 34.4
Title Odds = Contender
Defense can win you a lot of games and the Lady Comets can get it done on that end of the floor. Held Preston, the top scoring team in 2A this year, to just 33 points in an area championship victory.

AREA TWO
The Favorites:
Oklahoma Bible (21-1)
Preston (22-1)
Top Contenders:
Crescent (16-5)
Dale (18-5)
Hinton (18-3)
Sleepers:
Mounds (14-7)
Top Player in Area:
Katy Goodno, Preston
Next Five:
Brooke Butler, Hinton
Tierra Johnson, Crescent
Tarra Kania, Dale
Bridget Shuck, Oklahoma Bible
Jordan Williams, Oklahoma Bible
Tough Road = Hinton
In a power-packed regional that includes three Top 10 ranked clubs, the Lady Comets definitely didn't get any favors. Will likely have a true road contest at 10th ranked Crescent in the regional opener and then possibly take on fifth-ranked OBA after that.
PawneeSports Opinion
They say PROOF is in the PUDDING...Coalgate will have to control the game early and force Hinton to make mistakes or capitalize on their mistakes. I see a close one with Coalgate on top by 3 or less.
If either team runs away with the game then the other one brought their "B" game because it will require both teams to step it up to make it to the 2:00PM Friday game.
