I just found out that 4 Hr's in a single game is the state record. In 1995 I went 5 for 5 with 5 HR's against Vian. I was wondering how that may have gotten overlooked? Evedently my old coach didn't report stats. Would have been nice to see my name in the book. Oh well, I still have all 5 of the balls and the memory.

Wow, that's great Sports Fan. What an accomplishment!
Maybe games against Vian don't count in the record book.:headscratch:

I guess Bob didn't record any of the records. Ol' Ledge had 3 homers that game as well. Oh well, that was 14 years ago. I still have the newspaper clipping..... Yes I went to both scrimmages and we looked a little rusty against Dewar we scored 6 times i think and they scored once. Bubba held out 5 starters in the Vian scrimmage due to healing from minor injuries. They had their moments but never scored against Vian. Ethan James looks real good on D Line, the guy from Vian held him every play. He will play next year somewhere for sure. Logan passed pretty well against Dewar and they established a run game. (no TJ Baker unfortunatly).... After what Heavener did at the film swap I hope Gore can beat them and I would run up the score as high as I could.
Overall:
They should be bout the same as they were last year if not alittle better balanced this year. I think Logan is more accurate and they are alot better on D this year than last. Should be a good year for the boys if they stay healthy. Should finish 1st or 2nd in district.

I was shocked when I saw 4 HR's was a single game record! I've seen alot of good players and was sure, with our state's history, that there had been some 4's, 5's, or 6's.
Glad to see 5 has got it... wonder how many others are out there. If I remember right, I think Bookout (Stroud) had 4 in a game too. I could be very mistaken.
