I cannot tell you how proud and excited I am for the Coalgate Girls. For the first time since 1958 they are headed to the State Tournament. What an accomplishment.
The girls athletic program is excellent at Coalgate. Most of the girls who play basketball are on the two-time defending State Championship track team--the only two State Championships in Coalgate history.
When I began broadcasting the basketball games the seniors on this team were freshmen. That team could barely get the ball across the timeline. They were losing to teams like Tushka, Silo and others by 30. It is great to see the progress and now Jamica Pebworth, Lauren Sandman, Megan Sims and Echo Adpoo poopoo poopoo poopoo poo arrive at the State tournament as seniors. What an accomplishment and how proud Coalgate is of these girls and all the underclassmen on the team.

I do not know what someone did to my post above to add the unnecessary verbage that cancels out Echo Adpoo poopoo poopoo poopoo poo's name, but I cannot edit it out. I did not put it in there and it is simply wrong to screw around with someone else's post.
Thank you Oklahoma Moses and even though we did not bring home the Gold Ball, we had a great and memorable season that we all take great pride in. I really believe Coalgate is building a very special Girl's basketball program.

OK whoever came up with the program or virus or whatever to add this stuff whenever I type in Echo's name--real cute. If I can catch you believe me you are out of this forum.

Hey Robotorgo, Sorry about that, but it looks like you've experienced an encounter with our word censorship settings in the admin control panel. Trust me, no one is hacking your posts it's just certain "bad" words are replaced with "poo poo".
For instance, look what happens when I type "Wash.ita" without the period in the middle... Wapoo poopoo poopoo poopoo pooa. See? [EDIT: I didn't realize it would use so many 'poos'. EDIT2: OK, I just checked in the admin control panel and it gives one "poo poo" for each letter it is censoring.]
This doesn't usually create a problem unless the name or word you're trying to use contains a predetermined "bad" word.

Ah, I see. Thank you for your expertise. It also exposes my ignorance. I appreciate the try at editing out certain words that would be oblectionable to some, but is there a way the sensitivity can be changed to fix the problem. It is very disconcerting and I can think of a lot of letter combinations that are going to cause problrms.

John Hancock went to Washita.
There ya go... a few words were removed from the list; I don't want anyone to feel disconcerted. :)

....and I cannot type nor edit..... I did not mean to cause problems. So the last senior is Echo Adcock.

If you're able to log in and make a post, then you should be able to see a blue button in the lower right corner of your post that is marked "edit". Click that to make your changes then click "save".

I, again was not clear, not a good thing for an alleged broadcaster. I do know how to edit, I just did not because I was careless in both typing and editing. I guess I am just lazy. Anyway, I appreciate the tutorials, I certainly could use them.

Different sport but hey this is a Coalgate pride thread, so......
In Today's Oklahoman in their Athletes of the week section, Teran Mixon was one of those honored for winning the 400, 800 and 1600 at the recent Stroud track meet. Two time defending State Champ Coalgate is on the way to a 3-peat.
Congratulations "T"

It is a very complicated situation. Joe is also the Superintendent for Coalgate. They have advertised for the job, but I would think they will need to get a Superintendent first and then start filling in all the other positions. Coalgate will have numerous openings:
1. Head Football coach (McCulley)
2. Boys Track coach (McCulley)
3. Boys Basketball (Jack Ward resigned)
4. Athletic Director (Sherri McCulley)
5. Girls track (Sherri McCulley)
6. Girls Cross Country (Sherri McCulley)
So I have not heard anything except the rumor that they were going to offer Taylor Weibener the Boys position (He was girls assistant coach for Coach Jensen). Though that is just gossip.
It will probably take a while.

To wrap up, Coalgate won their third consecutive State title in track. Teran Mixon broke the 800 record by three seconds! She also won the 1600 and was on the winning 1600 and 3200 relay teams. Lauren Sandman won the Pole Vault and Jordan Helton won the 100 hurdles. They also tripled the point total of runner-up Hinton.
Congrats to the team.
