Unofficial, Joe is going to Hennessey...he'll stay in Class 2A. I don't think too many folks know except those who reading this website or those who are close to Joe or someone at Hennessey.

Yeah, comedy is my hobbie. It's not fiction cougz, it's history. I believe the score is 2-0 Wolverines. Do y'all plan on winning this year, or at least giving us a good game again, or do we get a good Friday night practice? :dj:

pawneesports Have you met coach freeman your baseball coach yet? He is a good man. We miss him on the staff at Marietta.

Yes, I have. He is a character and very well respected at Pawnee. He should be the right fit for Pawnee. Our other coach (Rainwater) seemed like he just didn't like to coach class 2A (that's my opinion), he got a position as an assistant with Guthrie baseball.

Talked to coach F. last week said he is real excited about the up coming season. Said be had some :headbanger: guys coming out that at first did not know if they would. one was a all state golfer that could also stroke a baseball. If you see him around tell him you talked to coach BIGDADDY he will get a kick out of that!

Ok, BIGDADDY. My son was going to play this year "BUT" he wants to lift weights for his senior year. When the football season ended, he weighed 145 and he is now at 160 and he wants to get to 170-175 by August. So, he is taking a sebadical (sp?) to help the football team next year (he has been a three year starter either on offense or defense). He will play next year and was one of the pitchers and the center field for Coach Rainwater and was a starter his freshmen and sophomore year.

I am a football coach and I love the weight room. The only thing is I hate to hear of a talented player to skip a year of a sport that he would help his team maybe go a to the playoffs or more. Its not just this year but next year too because he will be a year behind.I personaly think that if you can lift during the season(baseball) to maintain then you can work hard in the summer and not miss a beat. That said it sounds like your son is going to work hard at what ever he does. The high school days go so fast, my son is a freashman in collage and it seems yeasterday he was in the 8th grade.Good luck!

Imposter, sharpen up your pencil and get ready to write, what the Cougars are bringing will make your eyes water, your knees weak and your liver quiver. Just enjoy gloating over your narrow escape of a victory as long as you can. Go ahead....re-live it, pat yourselves on the back a little longer... Just make sure your ready to report "Devastation Hits Home in 2006"
Seriously, looking forward to the rivalry again this year. Should be interesting how the atmosphere will change with the game being week #2 instead of week #10. Kind of like the Jenks/Union game of 2A. Hope everyone stays healthy through spring and summer and the Cougars and the Wolverines are successful in thier respective districts this year. Gonna miss being in the same district with you all however...the last two years of A-7 were unique.

Just goes to show how plugged in I am to Coalgate! I had no idea Coach McCulley was leaving. I guess Coalgate loses a Coach, a Superintendent and an Athletic Director and a two time defending State Championship girls track coach (Sherri McCulley). Wow lots of holes to fill in C-Town.
I guess I need to be a better journalist. Pawneesports once again amazes me and shows me up.

Somehow my reply transported itself to another thread. Anyway, if Coach McCulley goes to Hennessey, that means Coalgate will need a new Head Football Coach, a new Superintendent, a new Athletic Director and a new Girls track Coach (The latter two manned by Sherri McCulley. Also likely that one of the assistants--at least-will go with him.
I need to be a better journalist like Pawneesports who continues to amaze.

I've got good news for you Tex....Chandler may be every bit as good as they were last year. We lost some studs from last years team for sure but this group has even more playmakers IMO. Next Friday when we "Thrash" one of the top ranked teams in 3A some of the "Chandler just can't be as good as last year" crowd will be convinced. :) :)
