Chris Paul: NBA Rookie of the Year?
You can call him CP3. You can call him Do-It-All Paul. By the end of the 2005-2006 NBA season, it's highly likely you'll be calling him NBA Rookie of the Year.

What do we know about Chris Paul so far in his NBA career?

He can penetrate the lane. He can pass. He can handle the ball. He can score. He makes his teammates better.

Earlier this season, he was expected to miss at least two weeks due to ligament tearing in his thumb.

Games missed? One.

The most important trait of Paul's? He hates to lose.

So what are those in the NBA who have seen Paul play saying about the remarkable rookie from Wake Forest?

Here's a sampling:
-- New York Knicks coach Larry Brown --
"I love the kid. I begged my friends who had earlier picks than New Orleans to draft him. He’s phenomenal. He’s as good as we’ve had come into our arena in a long, long time."

-- Channing Frye, New York Knicks rookie center and fellow NBA Rookie of the Year candidate --
"At times, people get into the zone where things look effortless. He [Chris Paul] played like that tonight."

-- Hornets teammate PJ Brown --
"He’s a competitor and he’s a winner."

-- Hornets coach Byron Scott --
"When you want somebody to be the poster child for your organization, Chris Paul is probably one of the best I’ve ever been around."

-- Hornets teammate Speedy Claxton --
"I’m not going to knock the other rookies ... but I don’t think they’re doing as good as him right now."

As a camera operator for all of the Hornets' home games, I can tell you that everyone associated with the Hornets has been predicting CP3 would win this award since last December when he picked up his first NBA Rookie of the Month Award.

He's won it every month since.
