elk, I was unable to make the game, was it close throughout?

Pawnee was nervous to start the first quarter. Stroud was ahead at the end of the first. I thought Stroud had better confidence starting the contest.

However, I really felt that Pawnee would settle down and take control of the game. That was evident during the second period. Stroud's #11 & Sabrina picked up two fouls and had to set most of the second quarter. That was a disadvantage for Stroud.

Pawnee had too much guard speed for Stroud. Pawnee's press disrupted Stroud and Brittney Morgan exploded for 17 in the first half. Stroud tried to work the ball inside, but Pawnee's big girls shutdown Stroud's inside game.

The officiating was, how can I say this, SUCKED for both teams! I can't remember the halftime score, but the Lady Bears went to the locker room close to a double digit lead. Pawnee dominated in the third obtaining a 19 point lead. However, Pawnee turnovers and POOR officiating allowed Stroud to battle back and narrow the gap within five, midway thru the fourth.

However, you could tell the Lady Tigers were outmatched from start to finish. The game was not as close as the final score 47 - 41. They have a good team and could punch their ticket into State tonight against Qawpaw.
