Tahlequah Sequoyah takes on the Bixby Spartans in the late game. Winner takes on winner of East Central and Stringtown.
Other side of bracket it's Verdigris vs. Bishop McGuinness and Jenks vs. Pawnee.
Verdigris has a tough opponent in B.M. I saw the Orton kid in the state finals last year and he is huge. Verdigris vs. Pawnee would make a very good match-up between Oklahomas leading scorers Clark and Page.
I haven't seen Sequoyah play yet this year but I heard they lost Randy July to injury. I'm looking for Jason Travis to have a breakout year.
Dec. 27-29 be there at the Expo pavilion.

Tahlequah-Sequoyah totally dominated Bixby after the first quarter. Mike Soap was bombing 3's from NBA range. This is the first game I have seen them play and their bench looks deeper than last year. They should give East Central all they want tonight. One problem they may have is rebounding, they don't have a dominant big guy.
It also looks like that Page vs. Clarke matchup is on. Page really impressed me last night, he kept Pawnee in the game until he cramped up in the fourth quarter. Jenks looked very smooth and they play good defense against average players, but they couldn't control Page.
Didn't catch the early session but it looks like East Central and Bishop domintated.

After reading the Daily Disappointment on the BM/Verdigris game, VHS attempted to control Orton and Merritt which left Randolph, the Irish QB to show his basketball skill, and he showed he can play th hardwood game just as well, scoring the 11 points which was the difference. I don't know if BM can beat Jenks, but I do know we'll give it a try.
At BM, it's not about beating everybody, it's about winning the last game of the season. :D :D
GO IRISH< make us alumni proud.

Oh son Bishop-McGuinness beats jenks tonight!! It was a good game! Orton started off with a dunk and then jenks next trip down he sent a shot into the stands! It was great!
Tahlequah-Sequoyah i dont know the final score but im sure they lost. They were down 17 and their was 3mins left and i left. Ts wasnt hitting. East central was on fire early.. refs didnt let them play physical at all
Pawnee vs Rotnei was a good game. ahem i mean pawnee vs verdigris haha. Rotnei ended up with 34 today and keiton had 28.. rotnei shot oh a good 30+ times tonight as usual. Maybe 2 assists. Keiton probaly dished out 7-10. good game tho.. #5 from pawnee can flat out shoot also.. they ran a play were keiton would go to the corner for the 3 so they had 2 people follow him and #5 for pawnee was wide open! He hit 3 3's in a row like that. Good coaching Coach page!
(Yes pawnee is going to run away with the 2a state title)

I'm surprised BM beat Jenks. I figured Orton would get in some foul trouble, being that Jenks would have sme size for him to challenge.
Manofsuperior, can BM run with EC?

Orton had only 2 fouls i believe.
EC's team speed is soo fast. They are really good. They have a good 8-10 man rotation so being tired wont be a problem. But I think BM can hang with EC. Ec likes to drive to the lane so if orton gets in foul trouble it could be a long night
Their 2 big guys are good. hadnott and jones. I think their both right around 6'5-6'6.. I think Orton and Ilkard can contain them. and the way Merrit played defense on Rotnei i think he can contain Holdman.. but the things that might get bm is east central's 1 and 2 spot. i dont know if bm's other 2 can keep up with session and his counterpart.. But yeah i think Bm can keep up with EC. They need to look to orton more often. He's got guys pinned all the time. and i know the reason he dont score much. He doesnt step over half court much lol.. he stays back for defense..

East Central really man-handled Sequoyah! Soap couldn't take many shots the way they defended. Their superior size and athleticism gave them a big rebounding advantage.
I say E.C. beats Bishop unless Orton has a monster game. He doesn't seem to put out enough effort in my opinion, but maybe it just looks that way because he's so large. E.C. will go right at him and get him in foul trouble.
I hate to say it but I think Jenks beats Sequoyah for the third time in the T.O.C. Too much height for the Indians to handle.

I have watched Orton for 3 years, hi game does seem slow, but Sheldon Williams was the same way in HS at MWC. Orton doesn't run down the court he glides.
I know he's not th finsihed product now, but I can't wait to see him play in about 7 years when he's wearing some NBA teams logo on his chest and he's in the All Star game.
Good Luck Irish in trying to pull the upset!! Thanks KSBI for televising tonights game.
