That's 86 players (former and current), if I did not double list or miscount.

I think the Mitchell report is damaging to the side that wants justice. The fans. It was a work of appeasment that doesn't include all the cheaters and basically exonerates everybody as well as Barry Bonds even though he lied under oath to the Feds about cheating his way to the record books.
Hopefully (not likely because I think Selig's a wimp) MLB will install a strict drug policy that is something like what the Olympic Committee does and then denys these cheaters their entrance into the MLB Hall of Fame.

I think Bonds wouldve made the hall even if he didnt have the record.. I mean maybe take the record away.. and that just maybe.. but not him out of the hall

MMGord, isn't two of those guys from Seminole? Ryan Franklin and one other?

He's a cheat, who has forever soiled the history of the purest of all sports. His name now sits among the all time greats of which would have never happened without his cheating. Bonds has no business being mentioned with the likes of Aaron and Ruth. Because of this defamation, he has no business in the Hall of Fame. In fact, Pete Rose is a saint compared to him and should be allowed entrance well before any phony player.
Just some eye openers:
1 .Of the five best offensive seasons in Bonds' career, four came after
he was 35 years old, after 1999, the year he began using steroids. In fact, of Bonds'
five best seasons, only one came in what is usually considered a baseball player's prime.
That was 1993, before steroids, when Bonds was 28 years old and playing his first season for the Giants.
2. Bonds' home run production also increased after he began using steroids.
In his 19-year career (through 2004), Bonds hit 45 or more home runs in
six seasons. Five of those seasons were after 1999 - after age 35, and
after he had begun using performance-enhancing drugs.
I'll admit, before steroids Bonds was an outstanding player and a likely Hall
of Famer, the numbers affirm that. In more than 6,600 at-bats over 13
seasons, he batted .290 and hit 411 homers with 1,216 RBIs. He made
the All-Star team eight times and was selected the National League's
Most Valuable Player in 1990, 1992 and 1993. Had he retired after the
1998 season, he would rank 40th on the all-time home run list, a most assured
member to be of the hall of fame. But now, I completely understand Bonds to
have no business in the Hall of Fame which should be reserved for men of honor
and integrity who garnish gaudy numbers while competing on an equal basis.

Eric Gagne was the other Seminole player. Haven't looked too close to see which has ties to Oklahoma. I don't think I really want to do that... :)

Can't wait to see Clemens on 60 minutes tomorrow night. Question is, is he gonna hang himself with what he has said to Mike Wallace.
I think he will take the 5th when he goes before committee in Washington on Jan 16th wiyth Andy Pettite and the Yankee trainer.
Poor Roger, HOF is out the window.

Well, what do you think? He says it was pain-killers and B-12.
I don't know. I would hate to think you come be on national television and lie about that. I know he looked nervous & mad, but I'm still not convinced he's telling the whole truth.
One thing is for sure - someone's lying . . . . . and why?

After watching Roger's lip quivver, I think Rogers used Steroids and he is a fool for not fessing up about the usage.
He's another Barry Bonds in the making. Page 7 of the Balko strategy book,, deny, deny, deny. When your backed in a corner, deny.
PS: don't let yur bottom lip quivver and you'll get away with it. ;)

I may come down to "one's word against another’s". No proof for either. I'm sure we will never know the entire truth. Does it matter?
Well, yes. You're talking about the HOF & numerous awards that "could have" been obtained by the help of "illegal" performance enhancement supplements. It's unfair for other athletes who abide by the rules.
I'm not a "face reader" or anything of the likes. However, I did notice the nervous tension in his expressions. But, who wouldn't be nervous? You're in front of Mike Wallace and being asked "Did you cheat?" That's gotta be imtimidating for any athlete under the circumstances.
Clemens strikes me as the kind of guy that would beat the living crap out of you if you were spreading rumors, about him, that were not true. If those statements were false, I'm surprised that Clemens has not been arrested for "violent" assult & battery on McNamee.

Just been reading ESPN. Clemens will voluntarily testify before a congressional hearing next Wednesday, January 16th. Andy Pettitte, Clemens teammate, has been asked to testify under oath at the same hearing.
Pettitte has admitted to being injected with HGH, on two occasions, from trainer Brian McNamee.
Both Clemens & Pettitte worked out with trainer Brian McNamee. Think Pettitte will testify against Clemens?
I listened to the tapped conversation between Clemens & McNamee. I'm starting to believe Clemens may have taken "roids" and is using this lawsuit, and the media, to manipulate public opinion.
This may back fire on Clemens when they get in front of a congressional judge. One thing is for sure, someone is going to commit perjury!

Like I said earlier, Clemens will take the 5th or use the Barry Bonds defense. I was injected with B-12 & lidocane but I could have been injected with roids and never knew it.
CLEMENS+BONDS=GUILTY :D

I know it's the wrong thread location, but I just read on ESPN that Marion Jones is headed to the pokie for six months!
WOW! That's a pretty stiff sentence for lying (to feds) about steroids. Why not just take away the medals & enforce fines. Jail time for roids?!?
Well, I know it’s not the roids - it's for perjury. You think Clemens is re-thinking voluntary testifying in front of a federal grand jury? I heard yesterday that it (the meeting with feds) has been postponed until next month.
I think someone is starting to crawfish. . . .
