What a joke. It's really time to start having a serious discussion about Stoops being the right man for the job. He hasn't won a big game or a game he was suppose to win since the 2000 national championship year. This game, his big game plan is to trade field goals for touchdowns when he's down big. I don't get it. Bradford gets hurt everyone knows Nickols is a hundred times better than Halzle and they don't use him? The last time I checked he wasn't red shirted and so what if he is, your two games away from a shot at a national championship. With Stoops this kind of crap is all we got to look forward to year after year. It's now been 8 years since the national championship and what has he produced? Nothing but one disappointment after another.

Nichols may have not wanted to play knowing that next week Sam Bradford will again get the nod, and this would make Nichols legitimately a player in a game this year, hence Nichols losses a year of eligibility. Nichols has already made it know, or at least his father has, that he may not even be at OU next year. Go easy on Stoops, he almost pulled off a huge comeback against a ALWAYS very talented and lethal Red Raider team no matter their current record. If Bradford had not tried to play hero (someone else was already on the Red Raider) he would have still been in the game and maybe helped win it for the Sooners. So what if OU does not get to play for the BCS Championship, they were going to have to beat OSU (HUGE RIVALRY) and probably Kansas in the Big 12 Championship game. No small feats here. Without a total sweep of the remaining season (and had to be impressive wins) the Sooners would have gotten screwed out of the title game anyway. One thing about it the Sooners WILL be back.

Fire all the defensive coaches. That was the worst prepared secondary that I have ever seen. Boby Jack Wright aught to be canned!!!!!!!! TT has some great receivers but.....that was pure BS.
I do't know if that was a TD in the endzone, but it deserved more revriew time to analyze that 1 minute. Nessler said it was a TD and I beleive him.
Our main goal is to win the Big 12 and we still have that goal in reach. Even with halzle, I think we can beat lOSUr.
IT WAS A GREAT COME BACK THOUGH.

The Sooners sometimes disappoint me and I don't always like the coach's decisions but Bob Stoops is a good coach and I'm glad we have him.
The offense didn't pull their weight early. Its a rare night when any defense can hold down Tech for long without support from their offense.

I get kind of confused sometimes... When I think "Man, we can throw all over these guys." We pound the run. Then (like last night), when I think, "Man, we can run all over these guys if we just keep pounding away." We try to prove that Halsley can throw the ball.
But, I agree... I would take Stoops anyday of the week. He has disappointed me in some big games, but... how many schools in the last eight years has even had a chance to play in all the big games OU has? Not many...
I don't like our D with Venables up there, as much as I have in the passed. Can't exactly put my finger on it, but we are just missing a little something that Mike Stoops D's always had. Don't know if its that "mean streak" or just a little more solid, or what... just missing something. Of course, that's just my opinion. I don't make a few million coaching football. And as FalconOC would say to me, I don't know anything because I've never coached football. :)

I need to find my, "HELP WIPE OUT OSU" toilet paper this week so my guests this saturday will get a good laugh in the b-room.
Did ya hea this joke?
This 80 yr old OSU grad goes into the pharmacy and ask the pharmacist for one of those little Viagra pills.
The pharmacist ask, "How Many?"
The aggie replies, just a few, maybe a half dozen. I cut each one into 4 pieces.
The pharmacist said, "That's too small a dose. Thatwon't get youthroug sex!
The old aggie rsponds, Oh, I'm past 80 yrs old, and I don't even thnk about sex that often. I jsut want it to stick out a little so I don't piss on my new boots!!

Funny - Don't know if you’re into hunting, but I TiVo a hunting show "Jim Shockey". His dad, 80+, told the same type of story on himself! It was hilarious. Also, you have to see this man to appreciate him.
I'll bet DusterDad knows the show. . .
