Mannford vs. Cushing.

I know that if a team takes care of things on the field the game should not come down to a call by a referee. With Mannfords QB getting hurt the game was tight and Mannford kids kept playing and drove the ball down to the 1 with about 6 seconds left and they are down 21-20. Field goal unit is struggling and they have a strong running back in Rainwater. they run up the middle and forward progress was across the goal line according to close friends i have standing on the goal line along the fence. I am not in any way blaming officials, but sometimes things happen so fast in tight quarters like that, mistakes can be made and its unfortunate when those mistakes are as costly as this one was. Replay, even though the play may stand, closes the door on a lot of speculation. I for one would love to see it. I know everyone can think of a play that they would love to have had reviewed at some time or another. Is replay in High school football a possibility?

I wish replay in highschool football was possible, but it's not. It would be almost impossible to get not just one camera, but multiple cameras at every game to have all the angles being recorded. Plus the equipment needed to watch it and try to overturn a call, small schools couldn't afford it. Then thiers the fact that it would delay the game. It would be nice sometimes, but it won't happen.

I wasn't at the game but I can review it for ya.

"After further review, the play on the field has been reversed, the player crossed the goal line, so we have a TOUCHDOWN!!"

Someday technology will be such that no call is ever missed in football at any level. But, today is not that day.
Tomorrow doesn't look good either. ;)

I agree with ya BornBuc, it would be too costly. I know a team should take care of business and not put themselves in a situation where a call or a lack of one could determine the outcome. Until that impossible day comes, we fans will just continue to gripe since we dont have anything better to do. Appreciate everyones input.

Some parent or student for that matter was bound to have been there videotaping the game. Just find out who...have them upload it to youtube...and we will all make a rational decision. ;)
