The Commerce Tigers will be taking on Lincon Christian Friday night at Tiger Field. I was posting this threard to see if anybody knows anything about Lincon Christian. They beat us last year but not sure this year did they lose any key players... Any help would be great I would like to see if my Tigers can get the win but not real sure... We have had a coaching change and I have heard that the players are not reponding to the coaching or what! I know the Commerce has a talented group of kids. I even remember hearing Coach Trimble saying this the talented group of Freshman comming in. I have seen these kids first since I have known them for many years with my baby sister being in that group of kids class. Espically the Bryson Sullivan he is a geniune stud and I mean stud.. He is lighting quick with excellent vision just a good all around back... Kinda reminds of a Reggie Bush with his quick steps

I know thay have several athletes. Coach Melton has done a great job there. The defense plays some cover 2 and 4. Will almost always have 4 deep secondary. The QB is an exceptional athlete. They are solid all around. I will predict that in two years, LC will win a state title since the OSSAA has allowed private schools in.

I'll eat my crow. I was expecting that Commerce was going to go on a tear this year. So far I am vastly wrong. As an alumni and former player I have a huge amount of pride in those Tigers from Commerce, but this year I feel it sliding down on the pride level. I mean come on 12 points in two games, and having 94 points scored on them. Something isn't right. I realize there is a new coach. But from what I've heard he came to Commerce with a championship ring. I realize Trimble is gone, but I can be almost certain that those scores wouldn't have happened. Okay... okay I realize it takes time for the boys to catch on to the new system. All I can say is hurry up. It took nine years for Commerce to get the respect and prominence that they had and it only takes a few games for all of that to disappear. A message to the Tigers of 2007. Listen to your coach... do what he says, and do it at 110%. Don't question him, and don't expect him to do things the way Trimble did. This is your time, use it wisely. I promise that if you let this go on, later on in life you'll look back with sadness and yearn to change the past, but it doesn't change it just eats at you. Take that from a former Tiger and do with it what you will. Just remember... "Play Like A Tiger"
