All Native American and Alaska Native high school football players along with Canadian Aboriginals who will graduate in 2006 that are able to prove their Native heritage by holding a tribal identification card from a federally recognized Native American Indian Tribe or a Canadian Indigenous Tribe, are eligible to be nominated.
Synopsis:
All nominated players are reviewed, on their past season's (2006) performance, post season awards, athletic ability, and current athletic endeavors. Of those nominated only certain players will be selected to participate in the Native All-Star Football Game. Room and board will be provided for players for the entire week. Room and Board is for the players, staff, and volunteers only. A trophy will be awarded to the MVP of the game. The Offensive and Defensive player on each squad will be awarded an individual trophy. This year a lineman award will be presented one as well. A 3-4 day practice will be held with the game on the following Saturday (July 21, 2007).
