Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make the event this year. Did anyone go? If so, how was the game?

I wasn't able to go either due to other committments but I listened to some on the radio and two of my sons went. The east won 23-0 and it sounds like they pretty much handled the game from beginning to end. They did have a couple of turnovers but they didn't hurt them and they were able to cash in on a few west turnovers. Brady Wardlaw from Okeene scored all 3 east touchdowns on quarterback sneeks. The east also got a safety. My sons said Coach Wardlaw had big Paul Alvarado from Okeene and another big kid from Crescent in the back field quite a bit with the running back. They pretty much plowed over people and let the running back go. They of course threw quite a few passes with Wardlaw at QB too.

Who were the other QB's on the East team and how was their performance?

Okeene's players were on the East side? How large is the region that K-101 Bowl pulls its players from?

Yes, Okeene is on the East side. The games format has to do with K101's extended listening area(western Beaver County is the limit) but mostly with Woodward being the central point.

Both sides are set up to have multiple QB's. The West had 3 which were from Beaver, Wheeler(Tx), and Ulysess(Ks) that all took turns. As it is many times with meaningless allstar games, it was hard for these fellas to get into a rhythm. As I listened to the game on the radio though, it seemed like the east coach played the same QB as well as a few others all the way throughout the contest. Maybe I'm dreamin' and the Wardlaw kid merely scored on each of his 3 series.

How many players were involved in the K-101 Bowl?
How many schools?
Anybody have rosters of the players?

Just trying to gather information.

NOTE:
Brady Wardlaw is scheduled to play in three all-star football games this summer — the K-101 Bowl June 2, the Oil Bowl June 23 and the All-State game July 27.

I guess they can play in more than 2 All-Stars games.

I know some of these players did not compete due to injuries and other commitments. Dusterdad - I was told the Kingfisher QB didn't show(don't know the reason) and Runnels from Watonga didn't want to play QB so that left Wardlaw with the duty of QB for the East.

East gets victory in Classic Bowl XIX

Robert Cassidy

— In its 19th year, the 101 Classic Bowl has evolved into more than just an All-Star football classic.
Football, though, is still the centerpiece.
While the list of events that are associated with the Classic Bowl continues to grow, football remains at the week's core. So exactly like the past 18 years, 61 All-Star caliber athletes took the field at Boomer Stadium Saturday night and the simply played football.
And played it well.
The 19th annual Classic Bowl saw the East come away with a convincing 23-0 win over the West.
Okeene quarterback Brady Wardlaw accounted for 169 total yards and scored three rushing touchdowns on his way to claiming the East MVP. Clinton's Seth Reed recorded five tackles and a fumble recovery as he picked up MVP honors for the West squad.
Watonga's Wayne Runnells came up with a pair of interceptions for the East to help secure the shutout.
The East's dominance began midway through the first quarter when safety Wade Schwerdtfeger intercepted a Johnny Sosa pass. The interception, which marked the first of five West turnovers, set up 66-yard scoring drive capped by Wardlaw’s one-yard sneak.
The East converted a pair of fourth downs in the first half including a 27-yard pass from Wardlaw to Schwerdtfeger that ultimately resulted in another 1-yard Wardlaw touchdown, and a 14-0 lead.
"That's (quarte rback sneak) the kind of thing I like to do it in short yardage. It doesn't leave a chance of a fumbled handoff," Wardlaw said.
A botched hook-and-ladder play on the West's 15-yard-line resulted in a fumble giving the East team favorable field position right before halftime. The East, though, turned the ball over inside the West five.
It still worked out for the East as Hennessey’s Adam Aguirre tackled Sosa for a safety and 16-0 halftime lead.
Former Alva running back, Alva Matt Sutter rushed for 30 yards during the East’s second possession of the second half to set up Wardlaw’s third score, a three-yard run
"I had a lot of fun this week" said East linebacker Brent Gage. "I was here to have fun but I also wanted to win. You never want to walk away with a loss."
Mission accomplished.

Pawneesports,
Your roster should be the same as mine. I got mine from the Woodward paper too, I just didn't type in positions and weights of players. The boys OBCA Basketball games are Saturday at OBU, Shawnee. Drew Westfahl and Brady Wardlaw will be playing and Coach Shane Feely is coaching the A team. Other players slated to play are Moody of Achille, Bible of Frontier, Gilliam of Cyril, Karr of Okarche, Diel of Pioneer, Malone of Beaver, Thomas of Howe, Qualls of Stratford, and Patterson of Ringwood. One of these players dropped out because Westfahl was first alternate and is going to play. Don't know for sure who had to drop out.

I bet it was Gilliam. He's in a baseball tourney in Elk City.

You were right Gilliam of Cyril and Patterson of Ringwood didn't play in the OBCA All Star by Class game today. Westfahl of Okeene was first alternate and a tall kid from Wright City(can't remember his name) played for Class A All Stars. Class A beat Class B 78 to 74.

How many All-State / All-Star players did the K-101 bowl have?

Whippet mom

K101 Classic Bowl

I think there were 2 All State players.
All State
Brady Wardlaw - Okeene
Brian Wilson - Burns Flat/Dill City

Drew Westfahl - Okeene (But he played in the K101 Basketball game rather than the football game)

All Stars
22 players
There were also players from Texas and Kansas but don't know about any honors they've received.
