Well I recall seeing one from the PV Democrat that stated "Panthers win with Peters out". I was always real impressed with them for that feat. I also heard that the big rivalry up in the NW part of the state between Beaver and Hooker always produced some interesting headlines.....for instance "Hooker pounds Beaver" "Beaver defense thwarts Hooker score" etc.

The best game for newspaper headlines was the "Happy-Hooker Contest".

Happy Texas and Hooker Oklahoma played a few games back when.
