Lady Zebras place streak on the line with Edison tonight
No. 1 against No. 4
A 49-game winning streak on the line.
The last week of the regular season.
It’s all that and more.
Claremore’s Lady Zebras play host to the new No. 1 team in Class 5A, the Tulsa Edison Lady Eagles.
Edison defeated Claremore, 69-43, in December in Tulsa. Since that time, Claremore has gone 12-2.
Edison takes a 17-3 record into the 6:30 p.m. contest at Frank Mobra Fieldhouse. No. 4 Claremore is 16-4 after having wrapped up its fifth straight Metro Lakes Conference championship last week.
And then there’s the streak factor. The Lady Zebras, with 49 straight wins at home, are looking for that half-a-hundred number. The only thing that stands in their way is the No. 1 team in their class.
